It is waterproof and actually wears like solid gold, unlike gold plated or vermeil jewelry. Gold filled jewelry is water-safe and nickel free, making it a great option for people with sensitive skin. Your jewelry may get dirty over time, so I recommend a quick monthly clean. Simply wash in warm water with mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a soft cloth.
